I just got New Imac.
after downloading files from the internet my imac won t open it ( files applications as MSN Messneger chat ) .
i got this message .
unable to read the dictionary of the application or extension because it is not scriptable.

please help .

Tarek,

First, the MSN Messenger is very buggy and in reality probably does not work well with your new Intel iMac.
I suggest getting Fire. This will work with many chat IDs, even MSN.

You may also need Stuffit Expander to decompress files that you download as many are compressed to make them smaller for a faster download.

This is a beta version for the Intel Mac, but stable and will be updated to the full release soon.

If you still get a message like that, you need to repair permissions. Just go to Applications>Utilities and start up Disk Utility.
When that opens, click on the icon with your hard drive name on it, then click on Repair Permissions. Repair Disk at the lower right corner will be grayed out, so do not worry about it.
