When i go to xm radio's website to listen online on my new mac a window pops up saying i don't have the right plug in and something to do with MIME. I tried following the suggestions of installing flip4mac and that didn't work. I'm not sure what to do. I also tried listening to live stream radio for 103.5 and same thing. I just purchased this laptop and i do like it but I have some major concerns if i can't do these simple things like i could on my reg computer. Some help would be much appreciated. Thank you,

Michelle

flip4mac is not something you just install. It doesn't work "right out of the box". Check the radio sites you want to listen to and see if they have information concerning listeners using a Mac. I used to listen to danish radio broadcastings on the net using flip4mac and that worked after LOTS of research. Now I decided to install Windows XP on a partition of my hard drive (using Boot Camp Assistant). Every thing radio/tv works much simpler using Windows.
You could also take a look at mplayer http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/news.html and VLC media player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Some of the stuff is pretty technical though.
