This is mostly in Opera but I can see this is rampant throughout OS X. For some inexplicable reason Apple thinks that most people read 1/4 page at a time. Like we're afraid to see the whole page at once. Is there any way abolishing this ludicrous behavior in this OS? Some plist that can be edited properly?

Sorry, not sure I'm following you, here. I think maybe you're complaining that the default size for windows such as the Opera main window (where one views web pages) is too small, is that right?

That choice, including saving it for next time, is in the hands of the individual application. I'm not an Opera user, but Safari always brings up a window "the same size as the last one," or some reasonable approximation of that. This, indeed, is classic Mac behavior, from times long long ago, I'm very much surprised if Opera's not following this pattern. You might take a wander through Opera's preferences, to see if there's something settable about this.

Sorry - please put this back in the pool. You're not following me at all.

I said POPUP windows. But this is rampant through this illogical operating sytem. Say you want to save your Bookmarks. You export them - the default is to the Library (which? who knows....there are 3 aren't there!) of the user I guess. Anyway I don't use OS X's default destinations as they are illogical. Is there any way of changing the default destinations of things? I have everything very organized in MY way not OSX's way. So how do I tell OSX that?

As for the size of the 'save as' window its always tiny. What drugs are these idiot software designers on? Ever seen anybody read a book 1/8 of a page at a time? Why can't this OS open EVERY window to its MAXIMUM size EVERY TIME???????????

I can't tell you how much I dispise Apple. But I have to use them. So I'm stuck. Any suggestions are welcome.

I should have learned a command line interface a long time ago. At least there, logic should rein.
