If this is a G3 All-in-one, (beige in color) then you will find a manual for that somewhere on this page.

You can open the back by removing 2 screws, then the logic board and drives all slide out in a tray.
Let me know how it goes...

cheers for your help.
I am not sure what it is but I had tried the screws at back but I cant get any of it to budge. I can remove floppy, but i need to get to motherboard.....
My dad gave me it for kids as he works for council and they were being upgraded. So it never came with no manual etc...I have built other systems in the past but this thing has baffled me.
chheeers for nooooooooooo

The drawer for the logic board and etc. probably has not moved for several years, so may take a good tug! You should give me a little more description, as different models of Mac will need different tactics to get inside...
Look on the back for a serial number, and post it here. That will help me tell you exactly which Mac you have.

Yes, not a G3 at all. This is a PowerMac 5500
You open the back where the logic board is. by taking the 2 screws out near the connectors in the back. Then pull the latches down underneath that panel around the connectors. I think you'll be able to get more information from the manual. It has the name - PM_Perf54_5500.pdf
That will help you
