I am doing a power point presentation I wanted to know if you can lock items in a slide, I do not wnat people messing with my power point so I only want certain items to be edited, but I have different Items to lock per slide so a master will not work because each slide is different, and on each like I wnat different thing to be locked.

Hope this makes sense,

Thank you

Dina

Howdy, Dina. I have a thought: Why not just make a pdf of your powerpoint, then no other user besides yourself can edit the document? (Well, pdfs are editable but not without some knowledge of Acrobat.)

Otherwise, to lock files it seems you need specialized sever software as there aren't any locking tools that I can find (checked PowerPoint Help and online posts). Here's a web page for more information:
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00038.htm

Let me know if this helps.
