All I got was a black screen, the system was up though, caps and num locks lit up but no display. But it's strange. when i press the F5 key-cap the Num lock light turn ON which is F6. I can't shut down by holding the power button either. I try to reset the PRAM but i can't do that neither.
I hope someone can shed light on this.

Thanks

Danh,
This may be a case of loose RAM... Try shutting the machine down and removing the RAM (CAREFULLY!! and with an anti-static strap available at CompUSA and other similar stores). Put the RAM back in its slot and try starting up.

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the tip. but when i open the bottom cover i notice there is a screw missing. As i indicated that when i press the F5 and the Num Lock which is F6 turn ON. I suspected that the motherboard was shorted somewhere. As i look around and found out that the missing crew that stuck against the bottom case.
Holly smoke! I though the motherboard was fried for good. After re,pve the screw.I took a deep breath as i press the power bottom. I could not believe my eyes that the powerbook boot up....

Thanks for your advice

Danh
