The heat sensor of the cpu in my powerbook only shows the temperature of the moment it was booted.

I don't know why, is a G4 1.5 ghz, maybe the sensor is damaged, but since I bought it it didn't work.

Thanks for the service you and your team offer and sorry for my poor english level.

What utility are you using to check the temperature?, and how often is it set to update?, if it has such a preference.

A widget for the dashboard with no configuration needed.

I installed the same widget into an ibook of a friend and worked perfectly.

The widget updated from second to second and is called miniCpuHeat.

It's the widget, not your PB. Try Hardware Monitor or Hardware Monitor Lite (or Temperature Monitor/Temperature Monitor Lite), all by the same author, available on versiontracker.com and macupdate.com. These two (four) apps give accurate readings, provide historical data of temperature and fan speeds and can graph it all for you.

HTH and please let us know what happens. Thanks.
