I have had my 12' aluminum Powerbook for almost 2 years now. Within the last couple of months, the battery has lost it's ability to hold a charge while in sleep mode. I'll charge the battery, unplug the computer, put it to sleep, and the next day the pattery will be drained. Other than resetting the PMU (which I have done), I'm not sure what to do.

Hi Michael-John

Sounds like your battery is going bad. There are a lot of posts about this problem with this model machine on Apple's boards.

Apple has a recall for bad batterries sold since October 2004, so yours may not be listed, but check the serial number just in case here;

If not, I would call Apple and complain. If the first tech you talk to can't/won't help, ask for a supervisor, sometimes you get things done being persistant.

Good luck.
