Hi !

I bought a new iPod Nano and loaded new songs on it with my PowerBookG4. The next time when i connected again. IPod Nano's screen blinks with the apple logo but after few minutes it shows no battery. I have kept it connected for hours now. But still the same sign on the iPod Nano. The PowerBook G4 is not showing any sign of conection nor any error.

Please Help.

HI... I found the following at www.apple.com/support/ipod

You may need to restore your iPod if a sad or "unhappy" iPod icon appears on the screen, it does not appear in the Source list in iTunes or on your computer's desktop, or if an exclamation point and folder icon appears on the screen.

You might see these symptoms:

iPod does not appear in the Source list in iTunes.

iPod does not appear on the desktop, in a Finder window, or in My Computer in Windows.
A sad or unhappy iPod icon appears on the iPod screen.

An exclamation point and folder icon appears on the iPod screen.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Make sure your computer meets the system requirements for your model iPod. Connecting your iPod to a PC that has older iPod software on it can cause this symptom.
Macintosh users who do not have Mac OS X 10.3.4 or later can use the iPod Dock Connector to FireWire cable to connect to a FireWire compatible iPod to a FireWire-equipped Mac. With Mac OS X 10.3.4 or later, you can use the iPod Dock Connector to USB 2.0 Cable to connect a supported iPod to a high-powered USB 2.0 port.
Put your iPod into disk mode and connect it to your computer.
If you can see iPod on the desktop, in My Computer, or in iTunes, you're ready to restore it. You should attempt to restore the iPod even if it won't go into disk mode.
Warning: Restoring iPod erases and reformats the hard disk. All music and other data on iPod will be erased. Make a backup of any files or music on iPod before restoring it.

If you can't put your iPod into disk mode, reset it, then read the related documents to see if they might solve your issue. If not, consider setting up a mail-in repair for your iPod or visit your local Apple Retail Store.

Please post back if you need further assistance and thank you for choosing Macosx.com.
