Description:
Just got a hand me down 1400c with no PCMCIA card. Have tried Alternate Ethernet using a 3Com 3C574-TX Fast Ehterlink PC Card and a 3Com 3C562D/3C563D LAN+33.6 Modem PC Card, but none work. I get the message that the correct software to use this card in the lower slot is not installed.
Do I have to have one particular card? Is there software/drivers that I need to load?

Hi Jim, welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
I would suggest contacting 3Com for the software. I looked in their site and founf the following page of software for the 3C574, but it's Dos software.
