I just upgraded from Panther 10.3.9 to Tiger (10.4.11).

I have tried to print (Command-P and File-->Print) in Firefox, Word, and Preview.

As soon as I give the command, I see the beach ball, it hangs for a few seconds, and finally, I get this message:

"This program has unexpectedly quit. OS X and other applications are not affected."

I am set up to print via IP to an HP2015dn laser printer. I have the latest driver for this printer.

Thanks so much for providing this service! The great community is one reason to stick with Macs!

I found a tip on an apple support forum that fixed the problem! Seems that Tiger has drivers that somehow interfered with printer drivers already on the computer. To fix, I simply deleted the folder /Library/Printers/hp/Frameworks/hpImaging.framework. And all is well!
