Description:
How do I print to a file so that I can send it as an email? For instance while doing a payroll in quickbooks I want to send it as a document to someone rather, than printing in on the printer, I would like to print it to a file.

If the other person will be printing the document on a PostScript printer, you can use the LaserWriter driver and choose "File" from the Destination pop-up menu at the top right corner of the dialog box to create a file; then send that.

If not, your best bet is to make a PDF file (Adobe Acrobat format). The file would then be viewable on almost any computer. You can buy Acrobat Pro from Adobe, which will give the best results. Or, download the free Ghostscript , then save a PostScript file, as above, then drop it on the Ghostscript icon while holding down the option key (maybe command? I have forgotten) and it will convert into PDF for you.
