Hi

Wondering if you could help - I have recently connected my MacBook Pro to a wireless HP Photosmart C7100 All in One series printer.

In order to print say a Word document I have to come off Livebox by clicking on my black concentric semi circular icon and select my printer. Obviously I can't then use Safari and therefore I am unable to print from the internet. I have followed all the set up in the manual that came with the printer and suspect I might have missed a step. Could you let me know what steps I need to take to ensure that I can browse and print from the internet and Word concurrently ?

Could you also let me know how I can view MIME files from say the BBC website - I get an error messge when I try to view say a live TV fed from the US Masters saying that I don't have the required plug in - can I download it or install it from somewhere ?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Richard

The error message I get for the MIME issue from the MIME issue is as follows The page “BBC Sport Player - Live Masters golf: BBC TV coverage” has content of MIME type “audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.

Hi Richard,
I had the same problem with BBC Sport Player, even though I have the Realplayer installed.
I'm guessing that you may have better results using the Windows Media plugin - Flip4Mac (which you can download from microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/flip4mac.mspx
Then, because the BBC site remembers that you originally selected RealPlayer for your media player choice, you need to delete cookies in the browser prefs, and then re-attempt the Sports Player.

About the printer - unfortunately that printer only does "Ad Hoc" wireless - meaning direct from computer to printer - at least that's what the documents on HP's web site say. If you can, you should try ethernet connection to the router.
