Is there any way to use my Dell Photo All-In-One Printer 922 with my new imac?

Looks like your Dell Photo All-in-One Printer 922 works only on a PC (.exe driver download). You could get Parallels or Bootcamp, run a Windows installation and then probably you'd be able to use the printer.

Otherwise there doesn't seem to be any mac support for it.

Driver is an .exe file that will only work on windows op systems.

Would it be cheaper and easier to get a new printer than to get Parallels or Bootcamp and run a Windows installation?

Yes. I recommend the HP OfficeJet Pro K550. It's what I use at home and it works for me on both my mac laptop running 10.3 and on my Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows XP. Works in Tiger and Leopard as well (10.5 os x just released):

It's definitely of larger size, not demure by any means, but gets the job done well and with no hassles.
