Description:
I had this problem in the past and had it fixed, but I reinstalled the opr system and its back, I am running OS8.1 with my G3. The Chooser when I pick my printer will not see it. I know that there was an extension or control panel in the OS that caused that problem, but can't remember which one. All one had to do is drag it out and everything will work again.

Hi welcome to Nowonder
The extensions QuickDraw GX and the desktop printing software should be either removed or unchecked. You can also set your Apple Talk panel to remote only then pick the printer in the chooser. Best regards sharona@nowonder
