I have a Lexmark z34 printer which i am unable to print from my applications with. However, I think this is more of a problem with my computer than the printer as the printer is recognized and it will print a align

What dialog do you get when you try and print? Does the printer show up in the Print dialog ? What applications are you trying to print from? Have you installed the appropriate drivers for the printer?

Everything happens as it should until the job shows up in the printer window, it briefly displays "starting job" but then doesn't go any further.
Yes the printer shows up in the print dialog.
It happens with all the applications, such as Preview, Pages, TextEdit, Safari.
According to the Lexmark website there aren't any drivers that I need to install.
