OS Version: MacOS 8

Description:
Having consistant problems printing. It will load different % of document and print some and then freeze. The yellow light will start fashing. I have to turn off printer to reset it. Size of document does not seem to matter or complexity. Sometimes I get error message -23.
I have a deskwriter 680C, Driver 9.4, I also got the problem with my previous driver of a lower #. Sometimes it prints right off the bat, but lately it seems to be freezing up more.

hi, earl. im gary.

great computer!

here is something i learned with macos 8.0 / 8.1. maybe it will help. if you have not already done so, open the extensions manager and disable any printing extensions that begin with "GX". apple included these "quickdraw" extensions in 8.0 and 8.1 and i have found them to be nothing but trouble. also, disable or trash any printer extensions you are not using. some of the "laser printer"
extensions like 8.6, can cause problems, too. bottom line, disable or trash any printing software you are not using.

i also guess you have reinstalled all of your printer's software (again) by now. so i wont bother with that suggestion.
