I've bitten the bullet and upgraded from OS9 to Tiger. In OS9 and before I could print from any App to a file choosing either .ps or .eps. This option doesn't seem to appear anymore. Am I doing something stupid? Previously I would routinely create .eps files from Canvas drawings, insert them into a Word do, create a .ps file and finally drag & drop it onto a Distiller alias on the desktop to create my final PDF? What do I do now?

If your ultimate goal is a .pdf, then why would you need the intermediate steps?
You can save as a .pdf from any print window....

Ultimately yes but take this real example. Previoulsy in OS9 I would routinely prepare a complex Table of data as a separate Word doc in, say, Word 98, and print to a .eps. This eps file can later be inserted into another word doc, formatted to allow test wrapping, etc, then the combined file printed to a .ps file, dragged onto Distiller to create a perfect PDF that has i nterpreted the .eps file fine. It appears to me that I can't do this in Tiger. What I can do instead is save the Table directly as a PDF & insert this into the word doc. However, this action saves the whole page th eTAable was on, not just the table as the .eps conveniently did. So, I now have to edit the PDF by cropping out the Table, and repasting into the document. Alternatively, I can do the same sort of thing in Acrobat. I've tried all these and not only do I need to do more things than before but the Table text is not nearly as sharp as the .eps>Word file>.ps>distiller & PDF route I used before.
