when i print from photoshop to my stylus 740, i no longer get the choices of which paper i'm using. if i open adobe illustrator (in classic) and place the photo there, i can 'tell' the 740 which paper i'm using, but the colors are very different from when i print directly from photoshop.
is there a way to look at what epson is offering me? i can't tell from the box.
thank you,
liz

Hi Liz! I need details:
--What system are you running?
--Have you upgraded recently?
--Have you repaired permissions?
--Are you working with RGB files?
--Have you changed your photoshop color profile?
--Are you printing directly from photoshop?
Answer these and we'll take it from there. We should be able to figure this out relatively quickly.

ok, nat:
OSX
i upgraded from photoshop 7 to photoshop cs.
i changed my color profile to a profile from my nikon d70.
(sorry i can't remember all these things.) i'm letting photoshop determnine the colors, but can't turn OFF 'manage color' in epson anymore.
it wasn't until i upgraded to OSX that i had the problem with the epson 'instructions'. they don't include paper type anymore. i googled and found ways to get to the epson utility, but it didn't work for me.
i forget the rest of your questions, but feel free to ask again. maybe i shd go to epson with these question?
tnx, liz

I need to know which OS X you're running so I can determine if epson has an updated driver for your system. (Thank you for the other information, by the way.)

Looks like epson doesn't have a driver for OS X:
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/s...form=Macintosh
You might need to download GIMP Print from version tracker. Gives you printer functionality in many cases when a driver isn't provided. Go here:
http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/15970
Let me know if this works out for you.
