Hi, firstly my technical level is not that great! I have recently switched to OSX. I cannot print my quark file (although I could this morning) and i cannot work out why. I have reinstalled my printer software but when I go to set up the printer it tells me that the driver is not installed and I dont know how to install it. Can you help?

in order to help you I need do know a couple of things:

- what system do you use?
- what printer do you have?
- what kind of mac do you use? (specs?)

I hope that I can be of any help once I got the info;-)

I have one of the new imacs (power pc g5) I am running OSX and my printer is a HP Deskjet 935C.

did you already tr this: (you told me you tried to reinstall the printzer driver, but was it the newest one?)

(You probably have to reboot!)

Can you print from other apps? (preview, photoshop, word...?

Hi Domink,

have just tried and I can print from photoshop but still not from quark. I have already rebooted a few times. When I try to print from quark it gives me error message 'cannot open printer' and then 'unknown error -30871'

Hi again,

do you have the same problem when you want to print another document form quark? If this is the case the document is 'poisoned' and you have to somehow recreate the document as a new one or copy it into a new one!
