Hi,
i have recently bought an imac 20'
though i am thrilled with the mac still i wanted to try and install windows on it with boot camp.

Followed each step properly.
Made a slipstreamed cd for Windows XP -Sp2.
Windows installation started.
Windows partition happened.
then suddenly says cant access files from cd
can any body say what went wrong
i erased thje partition on mac with help of boot camp and redid the whole process with same result

is there some problem with slipstreamed CDs
Please help

and yes i installed the latest updates for software as well as firm ware before going ahead for windows

Most likely, the suspect is the slipstream created windows XP-SP2 CD. Do you have a spare Windows computer to try this on a regular Intel PC. That will prove the CD is bad if the same problem occurs.

thanks for the reply i have resolved the problem
i had missed the autorun.ini file while burning the cd
i have now installed windows on my mac and it is unning pefectly in face some of my applictions like illustrator and flash are performing better here.
