TICKET ARCHIVE -> Problems with Stuffit Expander and X11

I really need to install X11 (for GIMP) and every time when I open optional Installs and when i open it with Stuffit Expander it says : "There is a problem with the expansion destination. The destination folder "/Volumes/Mac OS X Install Disc 1" is on a locked volume. Please select another destination."

No problem with English!
When you tried to double-click or open that with Stuffit, it is trying to save it back to the CD/DVD. Won't work. Why not try installing using the installer, and when the button that says "Options" shows up, select X11 but unselect everything else. Then Install.
