Your ability to do this depends in part on your cellphone provider. I would recommend searching howardforums.com and maccellphone.com. as well as pdaphonehome.com I did a quick search and there were some techniques to accomplish what you are trying to do discussed, but they depended on your cellphone provider.
HTH and please let us know what happens. Thanks.
We are now online with the Qtek 9100 via Mac.
This is what we have done:
1- Install Modem script in /library/Modem Scripts- use the Ross Barkmann Generic Script found here:
http://www.taniwha.org.uk/files/Gene...pts2005-09.zip
2- Connect your Qtek 9100 or i-mate k-jam via bluetooth.
3- open Bluetooth kontrolpanel. Under Units goto edit serialports and create a new serialport, Give it a name and select
Port direction: Dial-up network
Port type: modem
And tick the "show in Network Preferences"
4- in Network - choose the serialport you just crated. Under modem choose the Generic Script. Under PPP enter:
A profile name of your choice:
Phone number: *99#
Account name: std
Password: 1111
Note that theese settings ar for the Telenor mobile nettwork in Norway (Edge). I don't know if this works in other countrys.
5- In Internet connect choose the bluetooth serial port you crated, the profile for dialing you just made and click Connect. This should get you online at least in Norway.
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Gunnar
