TICKET ARCHIVE -> Quarkxpress Color Matching Problem..

I'm using QuarkXpress 6.5 with a Xerox Phaser 7750 and for some reason I cannot get an acurate printout which matches the Pantone colors. Once I got ONE of the colors to match dead on and another was way off. What's interesting is that I tried importing an image from illustrator and it matched the pantone cmyk color on nearly every printout, it's just the colors that are created within quark which seem to be fouling up (backgrounds, boxes, etc).
Any idea on what's going on here? I'm going nuts trying to figure this out, if anybody has a solution I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

Hi Sethethero,

My name is Eddy and I'll share with you what I know about the Phaser 7750 and Quark. I'm not a expert on this matter but I did some research and a demo on the Phaser 7750. I guess my first question would be where are you getting the pantone colors from? are you using the pantone color book that came with or had to be downloaded for the Phaser or are you using a Reg. pantone color guide?
Waiting on your reply

Regards
Eddy

I've got one of those Pantone books. The ones with all the color swatches.

Hi Sethethero,

I know that the pahser 7750 has its own Pantone color book. I think the first thing you should try is getting the pantone color guide for for the Phaser 7750.
Hope this is of some help.

Thanks for using www.maxosx.com

Eddy
