Description:
Quick Books 4.0:

I was editing bill payments. On 2, when I clicked "ok", I got this message" Quick Books has detected that you have no items or that one or more of your amounts is not associated with an item. Fill in an item or go to the item list to make sure all items are associated iwth accounts.

1) I check the items in the bill,
2) I check the items in the item list.
3) I rebuilt the file
4) I even tried apple/option/click.
None of these things work.

The items do indeed have accounts connected to them. Keep in mind I was editing the bills, so all the items "in question" had gone thro the process already.

I'm stumped. And if you can help by proving me the answer, I'd be grateful. I need to enter these two bills.
Shanks in advance,
Sharon

Sharon,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Your problem has stumped all of our staff... probably because not everyone uses QuickBooks. I, on the other hand do have a copy and tried to duplicate your problem and was unable too.

However... the problem you are describing seems to stem from possibly an error on your part. I say this because QuickBooks is very complex, and it links lots of data to other aspects of the program, and I myself, I have seen similiar errors when editing information as you said you were doing. Although frustrating, after look closely at everything, I was usually able to solve the problem, and amounted to an error on my part.

I am sorry I am unable to help you out...

Scott
