I have a new intel based imac. Loaded Quickbooks 6 and all files and started using them. Suddenly, after two days use, the drop down apple menus do not respond. If I open the sample data file, the menus work, but not in my QB files. Menus work sporadically. Is it an intel compatibility issue or corrupted files or what? Keyboard is working fine. Using OS 10.5.3. Intuit no longer supports version 6. Any suggestions appreciated

The first QuickBooks version that Intuit reports as supported on the Intel Macs is version 9, and QBooks did not support Leopard until version 9.0.4, I think. So, you have 2 main compatibility problems, and the best suggestion that I have is to upgrade to a current version. Even without the difficulties with the OS upgrades, and processor changes for your Mac, there have been a large number of accounting and tax changes in 4 years.
Version 9 is the current QuickBooks 2007...

Hope this helps you...
