I hope this is easy- but to me everything is scary. I have quicken basic 98 for windows.I want to post data to my account and close out 1998. For some reason or other The data that has come up is 1997. I do have backups throuugh mid December 1998. I really do not know what to do so if you could help me I'd appreciate it greatly..

I've been a Quicken user for several years and have never closed out the year with a save. All reports are customizable to dates and unless you are very short on disk space there really is no reason to do this. I believe the feature is for businesses who have hundreds of transactions a day.
