Knowledge Level: Expert
Problem: Software
Computer Type: Intuit
Model: Power Mac 6500/250
RAM: 65+
RAM Enhancer: Virtual Memory
OS Version: MacOS 8.5.1

Description:
I have been using Quicken for some time with no problems. My bank recently added on-line banking services and I signed up but I can't access the service. When I attempt to download transactions Quicken quits suddenly. No dialog box is generated. It just quits. If I'm not online when I initiate the download PPP sign-on executes normally then as soon as the connection is established Quicken quits. I have tried going back to system 8.1 and 7.5. The behaviour is the same under 8.1. A type 2 error results under 7.5.

Any ideas?

Jim Ellison

Hi welcome to Nowonder

You did not mention what version Quicken you have if you have the 98 version then go to http://www.macfixit.com site use there search mode type in Quicken 98. There is some on line banking issues there the may help. The main thing is did you allocate more memory to Quicken? Also try without Virtual Memory. If you have Sys 8.5.1 installed try backing down the cache in the memory panel. Let me know - best regards sharona@nowonder.com
