Problem: Software
Computer Type: Apple
Model: Mac Performa 6320CD
RAM: Not related
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: MacOS 8

Description:
In Quicken, no matter what date I put in, I get the error message "Invalid date" and I can't get past it. I can enter a transaction, but when I press "record" I just get the error message again and it doesn't record. I tried starting over, I tried "Restart" but I can't get past that error message. Pleast help. The Quicken manual and CD don't say anything about this. Ruth Helminiak

Ruth,
Thanks for giving us here at No Wonder the opportunity to answer your
question. I am Nevin of the Nowonder Mac support staff.
You don't mention which version of Quicken you are using, but you can go
into your sytem folder and then into your preferences and take the quicken
preferences folder into the trash can (don't throw it away just yet) then
restart your computer and see if the date problem is solved. Also rebuild your
desktop by holding the command and option keys down as your computer starts.
Also restart your computer and hold the command-option-shift-delete-r and p keys down to zap your Pram wait for 4 chimes and release. Let me know if this information helps you...
