Problem: I download the .dmg file of quicksilver. Then I would execute QS and the big QS symbol spins onto the screen, but then it would disappear.
Attempted solutions: Looked EVERYWHERE. I've tried to repair disk, reinstall, delete everything and reinstall. Nothing seems to work.

You installed QS by copying it from the disk image to your Applications folder first, right?

Yes, I would put the disk image into applications folder. And open it from there.

I'm confused. You're putting the disk image into Applications?, or QuickSilver?, after which you would eject the mounted image and trash the image file (.dmg).

I would put Quicksilver into the applications folder. Unmount the image, then trash the .dmg file. This SHOULD install Quicksilver, and it does. But when I attempt to open QS, it would load the program long enough for the QS picture to spin up, but then immediately close.

Are you aware that Quicksilver is normally a background, undocked application? That is, it doesn't appear in the Dock, yet runs fine. The QS logo splash screen simply lets you know that it has launched; this can be disabled in preferences.
So, are you sure QS isn't running? Have you tried pressing Command+Space to activate it?

Yes I am sure because it worked one day, but the next it didn't. I tried to invoke it, but it doesn't work. I've tried deleting every file and starting over again, but it never works.s

I'm sorry I'm not sure what to offer next, Allen, and I'm sorry to delay your frustration now by three days. I'm reopening your question for another tech to address.

Oh it's perfectly fine. Don't worry about it, thank you very much for your time.
