quick silver mac G4 wont start the power button lights while I'm pressing it but as soon as i let go the light goes off and it does not start. i have a new battery and have pressed the button next to it as well but no luck.

There's a chance one of the hardware components is out, possibly the power supply, motherboard, or the CPU. You'll probably have to take your system into a service shop. The last time something happened to my Quicksilver G4 it was because the CPU blew out. It was a 3rd party CPU upgrade so I got a replacement for free.
