TICKET ARCHIVE -> Quicktime and WMV movies wont play in safari

Quicktime movies wont play in safari, all I get on screen is the text
(no picture). I also get this when trying to play a wmv in Safari as well. Has anyone got any ideas on fixing this one? Max

Hi Max,

WMV fiels are no longer supported now in OsX so you will need to install a 3rd party quicktime plugin called 'flip4mac'.

Just follow the instructions and away you go. I have this working on my machine and it works faultlessly.

Let me know if you have any further problems with this one.

Hi there.

Now I can play WMV files in quicktime. Good, but .mov or .mpg still will not play within Safari. I go to Apple http://www.apple.com/trailers/mirama...ance/trailer1/ and I get a black box with the text (no picture) in it. Any one got any ideas on this one. Quicktime have been upgraded but did nothing to fix this.
