TICKET ARCHIVE -> quicktime module/loss of

mac os 9.2 G350,ext. HD Combo 80.
I changed printer Epson 740 to Epson R220.
For some strange reason I've lost quicktime. I don't know if there is a connection.
I always get this message (in French, but no matter) The quicktime Module requires the 6.0 version or higher in the extinsion system.
Fine. Everything is on in the extentions. If I click on a plugin (in quicktime file) I get this: error 3045. I made a bad move somewhere. But where?
Any help to remedy this situation would be most welcome.

est-ce que par hasard l'installation du driver Epson n'a pas été mettre le souk dans les extensions QT présentes dans le dossier Système/Extensions ?
Du style, certaines extensions sont du QT 6 mais pas toutes..(par exemple InstrumentsMusique)
Dans le gestionnaire d'extensions, en cliquant sur ces extensions, il ne te dit pas (partie inférieure de la fenêtre) de quelle FU*** est l'extension ?
Ce truc, m'est arrivé avec une installation de Toast 5 sous 9.2.2
Moi, je créerai un nouveau set dans gestionnaire d'extensions puis j'installerai un QT 6, puisque c'est apparemment ce que réclame l'Epson (y a pas QT 6 sur le CD Epson ?)

Merci beaucoup. I'm going to let my wife check this out and see what she comes-up with. She's the one who un-installed the old Epson printer and installed the new one (via the Epson site by the way...because the disk that came with the printer was only for OS X).

Ma femme ecrit la française trés bien. Normal, elle est Française. Moi, ç'est pas terrible. Elle va regarder un peu....dans les exttensions et voir "le souk"....il y en as les QTs!!

Looks like we are back in business. Dominique chucked a bunch of stuff then re-downloaded QT. She followed your advice. I can hear bird songs again. Many thanks for your help. You hit it on the nail yet again.

PS. Is there anyway I can view WMV files on this old Mac? A converter what. Or should I wait until I invest in a new one? Just curious.

No idea. Never think to that when I was on 9.x. I had to make a search. I will post back if I found tips

About WMV, the sole non OsX player I found is
Window Media Player 7.x

But I fear that with the new Windows codecs pollutating the We you'll face big problems for viewing -of course not DRMed- file.
There are many compatible players in OSX.
