How do I totally uninstall quicktime 7.4 from lepoard? I tried dragging its icon from apps to trash, but lepoard still would not let me install quicktime 7.3 ( it said a newer version installed ).
I need to be able to downgrade quicktime so I can get my audio back in the videos I will download from my digital camcorder (mpeg 4 - avi ).

Before you assume that solution, have you tried installing
Perian?

I didn't try the videos yet, I am having a problem the win xp on the other side of the partition. as soon as I resolve that, I'll try the videos and see if they work ok.

I downloaded the videos from my digital camcorder, and
Voila! sound! Glorious sound! No more buster keaton, no more charlie chaplin... I burned a dvd with the Idvd program and again it had sound! I guess perian IS the swiss army knife for quicktime. thaks a lot, I'll try not to cut myself. Oh by the way, how do you use the digital corkscrew?

Funny. Glad it works! I play most of my videos with
VLC, which has all of its own codecs, and spend little time in QuickTime Player.
