i have qt 6.5.1 which is fine.and my studio is working again (pro tools le 6.4).
what is the highest panther update i can go to before quicktime changes to qt7
is there a big difference from osx 10.3.4 & osx 10.3.5?
should i just leave it?

please dont tell me to upgrade to 10.3.9..
it conflicts my studio..believe me i want to buy a new laptop but wont happen for awhile..
i have a 4 year old computer so i am trying to make the absolute best of it..
thanks,Benny

If you are using ProTools le 6.x, then you can't go beyond 10.3.8
Here's a download link for the 10.3.8 combined updater, which will take you straight to that version.
http://www.apple.com/support/downloa...1038combo.html

Here's some other relevant info for Digidesign support about upgrades when using some older products such as yours.

There seems to be some conflicting information, but you should be safe with 10.3.8
NOT 10.3.9 - Digidesign constantly says NO to 10.3.9, and that's the first version that allows QT 7, so another good reason not to do 10.3.9

However - if your studio is working properly for you - I like the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" - until you have a good reason, such as upgrading to ProTools 7.x

QuickTime is usually a separate update from the system updates. You have QT 6.5.x, and that would continue. You won't be able to update beyond 6.5.x until you update to 10.3.9 (which you don't want to do, anyway)
