>>Hi Krisa, welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
It's always a good idea to back up your data.
You can use your Zip, just copy all your files and system folder to Zip disks or another type of storage media, or another hard drive. I keep a second hard drive just for backup.>>
When I copy my system folder and files using my Zip drive, do I just drag the files and system folder on to the Zip drive icon on my desktop? Also, about how many Zip disks will I need to do this? Thanks, Krisa

Hi Krisa and welcome to No Wonder!
Yes, you just drag and drop the files on to the Zip cartridge icon.
The number of zips you will require depends on how many files you have on your drive.
Single click on your hard disk icon and select get info from the file menu.
The window which appears will tell you how much space you have on your drive.
Divide this number by the capacity of your zip cartridges (100MB?)
Alternatively, you can purchase Dantz's Retrospect Express which is designed to make it very easy to backup your files to a removable media (like a Zip).
You can get more info here
