I would like to read my users local email.
I have ClamXav checking my files nightly. It sends the results via mail to my UNIX mailbox. When I occasionally open up a terminal I get You have new mail. I read and/or delete it through the mail command but it would be more convenient to pull it with apples mail.
Thanks
JayEE
What Mac OS are you running? Tiger changed some things due to Spotlight searches and the Mail.app program is now different. Would it be possible to have the email sent to your actual email address that is used in Mail.app? You could also create a .forward file and see if you can get that Unix email forwarded to the .Mac/Pop3/Imap email account in Mail.app.

I didn't see an easy way to have ClamXav email me. So you must be doing something with the low level clamav system outside the ClamXav GUI. Or you have a Linux server running clamav and sending you a notification email. Or ClamXav actually emails you automatically and I never noticed...
You might want to checkout the Growl notification system and AppleScript, Python, or Ruby.
