I have an Intel Dual Core iMac and need to share some files with a NTSF formatted drive. Is it possible?

Yes, if you are running Windows on that iMac. Microsoft does not provide read/write capabilities for NTFS, to other operating systems.
Another possibility is Parallels Desktop, but you would need Windows with that, too.
OS X can only read from an NTFS, and you cannot write or modify any files on that volume.
