Hi and welcome to macosx.com

(1) first I would try to recreate the library following this article
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93313

(2) if this not work,
2.a) Quit iTunes. Toss the "iTunes Library" file and "iTunes Music Library.xml" files. As described in Apple article above
2.b) Launch iTunes, then Cmd-O (Add To Library) and pick the root(s) of your music hierarchy/ies to reimport all the music in the library. Playlist are not retrieved, so to be used as last chance or even the library is corrupted

>>> to avoid any problem, first backup your music on an external drive or equivalent <<<<<<

Regards
Philippe
