I had an iMac G4 (OS X 10.3.x) suffer a motherboard failure. I replaced it with a Mac Mini (OS X 10.4.8), pulled the hard drive from the G4 and slaved it to the Mac Mini (using a USB-IDE converter kit). I copied the entire contents from the G4 to the Mac Mini.

Now I am trying to reopen the address book from my old hard drive in the address book application. The only import functionality that I have found for Mac Address Book is using a csv file, which I did not create before my motherboard failed on me.

Thanks for any help on this issue.

Hello Marcus,
Go to your old home folder and locate the folder Library>Application Support >Address Book. Copy this folder in the corresponding place, in your new home folder.

Let me know if this helps.
