Hi

I had installed iWork 05 on my powerbook and somehow it was setup in Spanish so I deleted it and tried to reinstall it again on the same hard drive- I only have one. The installer said I already had iWork on the hard drive even though it is no where to be found. How do I reinstall iWork and how do I make sure that it is in English?

Thank you

Bonnie

You have to delete a file from the /Library/Reciepts folder. Delete anything with iWork, Pages, or Keynote from that folder. Then you will be able to reinstall iWork. I don't think there is a choice for installing in a different language.
An actual Spanish install would have Spanish menus, Is that what you have?
Or, are you referring to the 'fake latin' that all the templates have? The 'Lorem Ipsum' is normal -
'Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.'

Dale,

You are awesome! Thank you so much! After I deleted everything from the Reciepts folder it installed. It was 'Lorem Ipsum' on the templates, not Spanish. I should have known that, but it's all Greek to me-LOL. Thank you so much, you have been a huge help!
