On my G5 desktop I have a 160GB drive which I have partitioned into 2 parts - 1 with system and apps and the other with docs. I wish to remove the partition and return it to a single 160GB drive.
I also will be installing a second internal drive (500GB)
Ideally I would like to know if I can remove the partition without needing to copy and replace anything.
If that is not possible is there a way to transfer everything to another drive, boot from that, reformat the original drive and return the files without having to re-install all the software retyping the passwords and the like and geberally making a mess?

Hi Andrew

You need to reformat the drive to remove partitions.

You can use SuperDuper to clone your drive to the new drive and be bootable, then reformat the old drive;
