just bought a new intel imac and am having problems with remote access to windows server 2003. safari does not support active x like internet explorer and active x is required to operate remote web workplace for windos server 2003. microsoft discontinued support for internet explorer for mac and you can no longer download internet explorer for mac. are there any other browsers that support active x controls which unfortunately is a microsoft based program.

You can get an ActiveX plugin for Firefox, though it is still only being tested for compatibility with the latest Firefox release, 1.5, and the page you get it from warns you of the serious security implications of installing it.

Here is another suggestion from one of our technicans --

You may want to look into the Remote desktop application made by Microsoft.

If you have rights, you can use RDC to get "console" access to any server2003 or XP machine
