Description:
Hello,
I'm thinking of buying a 2G jaz drive for my Toshiba laptop. I was wondering if you could tell me if an *internal* model would work with a laptop, or if they work only with desktops. Or, if you're not sure, could you direct me to a site that would provide such information? Believe it or not, my search at the Iomega site bore no fruit.
Thanks much,
Brett Robbins

The 2 GB Jaz drive is an external only for laptops. One thing to keep in mind is that you will have to purchase a Ultra-SCSI interface. This is not cheap, especially for a notebook. Something to consider is the SyQuest family of drives. I have a SyQuest drive that is fast and cheap to purchase cartriges for. The two models I would look at are the SyJet 1.5 GB drive and certainly the SparQ 1 GB drive. The SparQ cartriges only cost $99.00 for a 3pack of 1GB cartriges. This is much cheaper than the Jaz and SyJet cartriges. Just something to think about. Thanks for using NoWonder!
