Description:
Software needed:
I have ignored Quicken and Money and for the past six or seven years used "Managing Your Money." I believe this was last put out as the MAC Version 7 by Block Financial Software, Inc. This may have been in 1995.
This program was chosen over other programs available to me at the time because it did and still does a very good job of tracking stocks over the years. I now have all of these records and am beginning to wonder if there is any other software that can import these data. Have not seen this software updated or available anymore. I think that Block sold it off to someone else and it may have just disappeared.
I am a subscriber to MAC HOME and have seen many good answers to strange questions, so hope you can find any answer to this one. Thanks so much. Carole

Q: Can I convert files from other (non-Intuit) financial programs into Quicken?
A: Quicken uses the Quicken Interchange Format (QIF) to import and export data files. This allows conversion of data files from both Intuit and non-Intuit financial programs. Any financial program that can export a QIF file can convert a data file to the Quicken program.
Follow these guidelines to convert data files from the following non-Intuit financial programs:
Managing Your Money (MECA Software, L.L.C.)
Managing Your Money programs for both DOS, Macintosh and Windows operating systems can be enabled to export QIF files that can be imported into Quicken. A utility program is required to export the QIF file out of the Managing Your Money program. This utility is available from Response Mechanics, Inc. at
http://www.respmech.com/mym2qifw/. After downloading the utility, use it to export the QIF file or files from Managing Your Money, then import the QIF file or files into Quicken.
