I was told here at work on the network not to run Retrospect and have it backing up the users (graphic designers) machines since it will crash their machines. I did not know this. Does this sound right?

Hi John,

Thank you for using No Wonder.

Yes and No, I have over 15 macs set up to be backed up by Retrospect and have never had any problems with the macs crashing at all. I also have configured some of our clients set-ups and also had no problems with users reporting any crashing.
It depends really on the configuration of the individual mac, ie other third party extensions, OS version etc... If you want to provide further information on that I can then advise you if your machines are likely to suffer.
I would be surprised though!

Regards
