Description:
Retrospect Backups

I notice Retrospect 4.0 keeps track of all the volumes a person has backed up over the years. Is there a way when it backs up to only backup drives that are connected to my Mac and basically delete or forget those old hard drive names from its list of drives that can be backed up since they are not around anymore.
Thanks!

hi

yes, this is an annoying problem

the fix is annoying as well, you need to go the configure clients and when you see the clients and their hard disks, you need to select their hard disks and pick "forget these" from the menu (last menu, forget the name) then you need to configure their client again and select their drives again

you can also go to the preferences for retrospect and tell it to only backup the volumes selected, that way you dont backup any mounted cds or jazz drives (quite annoying, I can tell you)

let me know if you need more info, cause I can through the steps I follow and send them to you explicitly
