Hi, as of late my router hasn't been up to snuff. I have a G5 going to the router, and also a wireless iBook and my iphone. THe G5 runs fine, but it seems like even if I am sitting next to the router it gives a weak signal. ANy ideas? reset it?
Thanks dudes

Do both the iBook and the PowerMac G5 show weak wireless signal? Or, just one. If only one Mac has a weak signal, you should try reseating the airport card, especially the antenna connection at the card. The PowerMac is easy to get at the airport card, also the iBook, unless you have one of the last iBooks, which require opening the case to get at the wireless card.
If both have weak signals, then sure, reset the router. Is this an Airport Base Station? If so, which one is it? If not, you should check at the configuration page for the router to find out if there is any firmware updates, or that your configuration has not been changed

Hi, sorry about the late response-
THe powermac works great (and is not wireless, I have it plugged into the router. IT is the G4 laptop that has the week signal, and also my iPhone.
I tried resetting the router but I don't think that helped.
The router is a Linksys D-Lite (think I got it at best buy, but not one of the cheap ones)
I also adjusted the card, and even took the card from another make to test, but either didnt help.
Any thhoughts?
