I have recently bought Popcorn version 1.0.1 and I am trying to run it on Tiger 10.4.3

However it keeps crashing when I try to copy a Video_TS file. I believe I need the 'free' Popcorn update to 1.0.3 for it to run properly, but when I go to download it from the Roxio support site it just won't let me download the file I need. Everytime I click 'download' it just get taken back to the page I was previously on and no download occurs.

The Roxio support site is next to useless - can't email anyone and the 'self-help' bit just tells me to download the update patch - which I can't do. Fed up going round in circles and thought I'd give you a try.

Please help.

Thanks David

David, welcome from macosx.com

The download page for this update is
http://www.roxio.com/en/support/popc..._updates.jhtml
But when you'll click on download, you'll be jumped to page which ask for your login/pass you receive when registering ANY of the Roxio Mac products.
On the same page there is a link for registering the product. Do it before attempting the download and (my experience) wait 24h for the product (and your login/pass) to be registered before processing the download of the update

Philippe,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
However, I have been through these steps already.
I registered the product and registered my login/pass last Wednesday.
When I log in I get taken to a page that has a "download patch' button on it,
then that takes me to another page that allows me to select the product I want to download a patch for, then that takes me right back to the page I started on when I click on the link you sent me. As I said, it just takes me round in circles with no actual download occurring.

Cheers David

Well, David, I would try with another browser (FireFox,..) to bypass the problem.
If not, just call roxio (take your license ID just near you) or post on the forums
http://boards.support.roxio.com/roxi...ard.id=Popcorn

Hi Philippe,

Ok, some progress to report...

I am now at work and I have managed to download the update from the Roxio support site. I don't know why it wouldn't do it on my mac at home as I went through exactly the same process as before. The only difference I can think of is that I am running Tiger at home and Panther at work.

So, at least I have the update to try. Whether it will resolve Popcorn quitting when I try to copy Video_TS file reamins to be seen, but I'll try it when I get home tonight.

Cheers David
