I can't seem to burn a CD with my newly purchased CD burning software. When I insert a disc at the prompt from Toast to do so, the message I get is "No recorder found. Please check cables and power."

Are you able to read any currently burned CD's?

Are you able to burn a blank CD without Toast?

Yes I am able to read CDs. No I am not able to burn CDs without Toast. Does this mean I have a read only CD drive? And if so, what can I do to remedy this?
